At the end of your stay you have the obligation to restore the place to its original look. It must be just as good or better then when you first moved in. Moving your things out of there is only one step. Another is repairing the things that are damaged – doors, walls, it happens, so you can get your security deposit back.
The Cleaning
The regular end of tenancy cleaning would include a thorough dusting, floor cleaning – vacuuming, carpet washing – then cleaning the bathroom appliances and the kitchen. There may be other furniture that needs special care. Sometimes it is best to call a professional cleaner to do the job for you. It will cost you some coin, but on the long run may save you time and the hard work. When you clean your residence often you can spare you a lot of time when it comes for that final clean up. Remember – it may seem harder to clean your home day by day, but in the long run you will have to deal with a relatively less mess, than if you cleaned it once a year. Removing the furniture first can simplify the cleaning too. Although it has to be cleaned before moving it anyway, it can free the space in the room for a more broad cleaning later. Less furniture – less debris. In the end, the end of tenancy cleaning will be either performed by you, in which case you will be simplifying you own work, or you may call a professional cleaner, in which case you will be making their job easier. It will be good in either case.
